Hey, welcome to my corner of the web. I'm RantGearSolid aka Rayden Hudson, and this is where all my ranting lives, anime I'm watching, shows I got obsessed with, novels worth reading, and whatever else I'm into at the moment. Hot takes, hidden gems, the occasional deep dive.
Off the site I wear a lot of hats: I'm an illustrator and novelist, and a game developer in training. I'm also (very loosely) studying Japanese, though I'll be honest, my skills have been lackluster lately, so at this point I'm mostly just passively picking it up lol. I've been drawing since I was about 10 years old, and started playing music at 12 years old (starting on the drums) over time when i picked up game development, i had to learn how to do audio production and make my own music and do composition.
Mostly, this place is my love letter to the old internet. I miss the personal blogs and hand-made sites of the 2000s, back when the web felt personal and a little messy. So I'm trying to bring that energy back!
